Juli 2026 im NEUMOND in Velbert *für Menschen mit Vorerfahrung in CI In der Contact Improvisation lassen wir uns auf einen Zustand des 'Nicht-Wissens' und 'Nicht-Vorausplanens' ein. Wir sind im Hier-und-jetzt, präsent im Kontaktpunkt, im kontinuierlichen Gespräch mit der Schwerkraft und reagieren im Moment. Dabei sind wir keineswegs passiv, oder der Schwerkraft (oder gar der Partner:in) ausgeliefert, sondern entwickeln erstaunliche Fähigkeiten im Augenblick unser Gewicht verantwortungsvoll und bewusst zu organisieren, oder mit der entstehenden Situation zu experimentieren und zu spielen. Wir üben uns im Geschehen mehr und mehr zu erkennen, wie wir den sich verändernden, geteilten Schwerpunkt lesen und uns in einer Situation bewußt organisieren können um z.B. Gewichtseinladungen und Flugmomente zu ermöglichen. Dabei geht es weniger um das Reproduzieren einer eingeübten festen Form, sondern um die Anwendung hilfreicher offener Bewegungsprinzipien in sehr unterschiedlichen und vielfältigen Situationen, so dass wir uns in einer Fülle von Variationen und Möglichkeiten bewegen und unser Gewicht sich immer neu finden und gemeinsam organisieren kann. Oft denken wir nicht. Unser Zuhören über die Haut steht im Vordergrund, unser Körperwissen übernimmt und unser Geist beobachtet in Stille und staunt über das phänomenale Zusammenspiel und die Einzigartigkeit des Augenblicks in unserem Tanz. Hier sind einige Fragen, die uns an diesem Wochenenden interessieren könnten: Welche Bewegungsqualitäten braucht es um im Nichtwissen 'dranzubleiben'? Wie verwandeln sich Fallmomente in Flugmomente? Wie bleiben wir einspannt, bereit und offen für den Augenblick und adaptieren unseren Körpertonus in jedem Moment neu? Wie organisieren wir unsere Aufmerksamkeit und unsere Körper in der Luft mit Durchlässigkeit, Offenheit und Richtung, während wir gleichzeitig Momente von Desorientierung durchtanzen? Was hilft uns in der Landung? Wie ermöglichen wir dem kontinuierlich fallenden Gewicht uns in die nächste Situation in unserem Tanz mitzunehmen. In diesem Workshop möchte ich Euch Inspiration und Körperverständnis für einen gemeinsamen Tanz anbieten um die individuelle Entwicklung und Erkenntnis in uns zu unterstützen und zu nähren. ***Dieser Workshop ist für Menschen, die schon solide Grundkenntnisse in CI mitbringen (Basiskurse/ Workshops gemacht haben, oder regelmäßig jammen) und ihre Technik, ihr Verständnis und ihre Möglichkeiten im Contact Tanzen weiterentwickeln möchten. We move in the here and now, present in the point of contact, in continuous dialogue with gravity, and responding in the moment. When doing so, we are not passive or at the mercy of gravity, or our partners weight, rather we read the flow of gravity entering a sensory stream of possibility. In our practice, we develop and tune our awareness, our tactile abilities to feel and organize our weight responsibly and consciously in the moment, and are open to experiment and play with the situation as it arises. We practice recognizing and reading our shared center of gravity in movement and consciously organize ourselves in the present situation to enable e.g. invitations of weight transfer and moments of flight to happen. It is less about reproducing a practiced, fixed form and more about applying helpful, open movement principles in very different and diverse situations, so that we can move in a wealth of variations and possibilities and our shared weight can constantly find each other and organize itself together. Often we don't think. Our listening through the skin is in the foreground, our body knowledge takes over and our mind observes silently and marvels in the phenomenal interplay, coincidence and uniqueness of the moment in our dance. Here are some questions which might interest us in our weekend together: What is needed in order to follow through in both, low and high flying with a relaxed and responsive body? How do we adapt our body tone as the dance changes from moment to moment?  How to organize our awareness and our body in the air with fluidity, ease and direction while dancing with the constant possibility of disorientation and reorientation?  How do we actually land and allow the falling weight to continue through our bodies and into our improvisation? Sharing my work, I would like to offer inspiration as well as tools in order to ease, stimulate and support the individual growth and development in each of us as we improvise and play together in this workshop and beyond. ***This workshop is for people who already have a solid basic knowledge of CI (have taken basic courses/workshops or jam regularly) and want to further develop their technique, understanding, and possibilities in contact dancing. She has been teaching dance full time and wholeheartedly for more than three decades, CI since 2004. She holds a master's in Sport Science, Education and English from the University of Hamburg, Germany. Her core research question 'the essence of dance, its teaching and improvisation as a vital inspirational art within its unfolding' expands from her early days at University until the present. Her boundless fascination and joy exploring and researching Contact Improvisation in all its depth and subtleties, inspires her workshops, privates, ongoing classes, and each of the projects she creates. Her work recognizes nature, improvisation and teaching itself as foundational sources for knowledge and understanding. Meeting the moment, she offers organic support for the individual and the instant community as it emerges, allowing each to feel, find and follow what they need to learn and dance. As part of her work she has been traveling extensively teaching CI in Europe, Canada, the U.S., Argentina, Israel, Russia and Japan.
